Default Maxam CSB1

I just finished the last of 8 pounds I bought during the powder crunch. I'm going to miss this stuff. It was an excellent target powder. Metered well, filled well, burned clean. It was just a tad faster than Universal as fellow member Nemo helped illustrate with his chrono testing. I'd load 6.0gr in .357 brass under 125's and 158's, 7.5-8.0gr in .44 Mag, and 7.5gr in .45 Colt. It was very pleasant and accurate to shoot. I guess it's time for more mainstream powders. If I ever find more of this stuff, I'd likely buy it again.

Did anyone other than myself and Nemo lean on this powder during the shortages?

You obviously shoot a lot more than I do.
8 lbs of CSB-1 goes a long way and I have around 6-7 lbs left.
I am using it in the 44 special mostly as that is my favorite round now.
The 696-1 is the revolver I shoot most often recently.
As an aside, I was glad to see that an update to QuickLOAD included the Maxam powders.

Oh I had been packing it in tons of .357 and .44 cases the past couple years . The Mrs and I have been using it pretty regularly. We are worth about 200 rounds a piece on a suturday or sunday morning.
