Default Powder Valley put up a new website.

For all of you that shop at Powder Valley, they are phasing in a new website. It's much more sophisticated than the rather simple website they have been using (and is still up BTW). I got an email from them this evening with a link to the new website.

Here is the link to the new and improved Powder Valley website.

Kinda like the old site better.
The new site could use better filtering, say, by container weight or select weight to view the price like Midway and Lohman do.

Still better than driving 40 miles to find they don't have what I want.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the new website. The filtering options aren't as good as the competition IMO either. And for just wanting a quick look, the old website is much faster to see what's in stock or not. But such is progress I guess. Hopefully they will keep the old website up and running for a while at least also as I think I prefer it for now too.

Nice update (I guess their previous site has been developed in the 90s ). However this one still can use a few updates - at the very least "show in stock only" .

Hoping they will change it so that only the checkout page is a secure address. Otherwise, it triggers unnecessary security procedure messages with every page visit.

Nice to see them update.

The previous page was very old school but simple to navigate. It was very easy to bounce around from area to area and find what you are looking for.

Now I have to wade through 8 pages of Alliant powders to see what is in stock. 1 step forward, 8 steps back...

The old web site, which simply listed everything simply lol . . . and in a predictable order . . . was much more accessible.

While having an order history and other accessible features is a plus, newer is not always better in all regards. We'll see how it evolves.

I like their old site better. Dated, sure, but you could find something quickly. This site you have to page through multiple pages to find the product in the size you want because it doesn't filter them for you (at least, I can't find a way to filter it).

They wouldn't have to change the site much to improve it a lot - just allow the option to show all products on one scrollable page would do a world of good.

I've ordered from them in the past. They could benefit from some freight cost optimizing. Otherwise their prices and stock are pretty good. Their stock is typically among the best for hazmat items if not THE best.

Please keep the old one. It is so much faster to get to where you want to go.
Simpler is almost always better.
Bullets seem to come up in quantities of 500. No more bulk orders of 2000-3000?

What caliber? They certainly have bulk quantities offered for (eg) Hornady .224 bullets.
