Default S&W 686 6" with BE-86 powder

Finally almost summer here in northern Nevada and finally got out to shoot!!
Weather in the 80's and very little wind, almost picture perfect.
Darn loads were about to start turning green on me, so glad it happened..........

Started off first with the long 357 case......
no 110gr JHP.... sorry, I use them in the 38 spl.

125gr XTP 9.1 grs 1252-1336 high .... average 1307fps Uniq 1285
158gr XTP 7.8 grs 1074-1154 ....................... 1113 uniq 1240
158 Lwc ... 8.1 grs 1249-1296 ....................... 1271 uniq 1320
BE86 did well with the lighter bullets.

38 special short cases.........

110 XTP 6.4 grs ....1071-1127 ................ 1104 uniq 1132
125 XTP 6.1 grs ....1002-1053 ................ 1030 uniq 1020
158 Lswc 5.2 grs .... 922-979 .................... 950 uniq 968
148 BBwc 3.6 grs .... 799-854 ................... 826 uniq 740
The 148gr was a total surprise !!

Hope this sheds some light on this powder for those that have it and load the .357 dia. bullet. +/-

Thanks Ed,
My 357 load with BE-86 for the Ruger GP100-6" is;

158 LSWC ..7.3gr 1174-1191........avg=1182

This is a very accurate load. Anything over 1200fps I've been using 2400 or AA#9
