What loads are you using for Hornaday XTP?
With all the new data and powders available I think it's time for an update, I'm shooting Speer and Hornaday jacketed Hollow points in the 230 gr. variety along with CFE pistol and Accurate #5 powders. I'm curious if anyone wants to share a pet load of the newer powders available.

for 625 w/ 5" barrel
230gr Hornday XTP
6.8 gr BE86: Avg MV 873 (7gr should get ~ 900fps)
9.0 gr Blue Dot: Avg MV 924
225 Gr Laser Cast LTC
6.5 gr Unique: Avg MV 922
I've got some Power Pistol but haven't worked up any 45ACP loads with it yet
Good luck, have fun and be safe

Hornady 230 gr XTP + 6.2 gr Universal is accurate and clean. No idea of velocity.

We were issued XTPs in custom loaded 10mm. Not impressed-other than it's ability to be used as an indirect fire munition if a concrete wall was available to create shrapnel & spall.
I've been much more impressed with the Sierra JHC 230 gr @ 850 f/s.

9mm and .38....
It gets really good velocites in the standard to +P range in these pistols. My bullets will mostly be 125 gr.
