Default Titegroup group data for 158 gr .38 special

I bought some 158 grain lead flat point bullets that I intended to use to hand load 38 special. I was dismayed when I found very little load data for 158 grain lead. Titegroup is my go to powder for most 38 lead loads, but I couldn't find any data for Titegroup with 158 grain lead in my Lee, Lyman, or Speer manuals, and I couldn't find it on Hodgdonreloading.com.

If someone has data for this combination, could you please share it with me, and tell me where you found it?

Thanks. I looked there earlier, and all I could find was XTP. I guess I did something wrong. Anyway, I appreciate the help.

I've been using the 3.8gr load for years. Very accurate in my 686.

The 158 gn cast LSWC load appears to the right of the XTP load on my iPad and beneath it on my iPhone.

3.4 grains of Titegroup works great with 158 LSWC.

I would agree with others in the 3.4ish range.

BTW, Tightgroup burns hot and is therefore not considered a great match for lead as it produces more smoke than some other powders. It shoots accurately though. I use it for plated bullets all the time.

I load 158 grain RNL bullets over 3.2 gr. of Titegroup which is a very accurate and mild load for punching paper. I have many Vintage Revolvers (some 100 + years old) and so I use this starting load for Lead Bullets. I see no reason to shorten the life of Vintage Revolvers just for the purpose of Target Shooting.

Aim left and up a little.
