As always, "Yer pays yer money and yer make yer choices." But the fact remain, carbide resizer dies were introduced to obviate the need for lubricating cases. For me, this means much less mess and less chance of primer contamination and creating a film which will hold grit.
But one reason to handload is so each one of us can do it our way. After all, I know many who who wonder at my decades-long practice of always sealing primers and bullets on hunting and defense loads with lacquer (as is done commercially).
