Rim Rock 170 gr Keith 38/357
Seems to be a true Keith design from a very reputable bullet manufacturer.
Have you tried their Keith 170 gr in either 38 Spl or 357 Magnum?
Impressions/feedback on their bullet? if their bullet is anything like the Lyman 358429 it should be a good bullet for my applications - 900 fps (4 inch) load in 38 Spl +P and 1,100 fps in 357 Magnum (Mid Range) using either Universal or Unique powder (Lyman data).

I use this bullet and love it. It has proven very accurate for me with 6.4 gr Unique with a regular primer. I am shooting a 357mag with a 6" barrel and getting very close to 1100 fps. I have also used the 358429 bullet interchangeably with the same results. Bench rested at 100 yds it averages 3" to 4" constantly with a 4 MOA Vortec Venom.

The problem with getting a real keith bullet is the fact that it changed over time . In his later years he was asked for some patterns . He had some " wire rod " patterns made . They had a shorter / wider meplat ( nose) than the original " Keiths " he had designed many years earlier . I prefer the early Keith designs . The Lyman 358429 is a pretty good copy. My Lyman mold dropped undersize cast bullets , .355-.356 . I had to call twice to get someone to help me . I sent it back , they recut the mold , now it drops .360 , except for the front driving band . That was not recut . It does shoot very accurately though so I have kept it.

IT's a good heavy bullet load. Check that it fits your cyl though. Loaded to the crimp groove, they do not fit my M27/28.

Have loaded the 170 SWC in the 357 for decades, I cast my own and have several moulds that throw swc's in that weight or close to it. I have also shot the rim rock bullets, drive mine with 2400. Have taken several deer over the years with this load, it has performed as well as a lead SWC can be expected. One of my " go to " bullets for the 357 magnum.

My standard load for all my 357's is the 168 gr Lyman swc pushed by 13.5 grs of #2400.........Shot over Oehler 35P........3 1/2" mdl. 27=1209fps......6" mdl 27=1256 fps.......These bullets have to be crimped on the front driving band or the OAL will be too long for the 27/28 cylinders....This load has taken deer/hogs and all sorts of smaller critters..........
