Default Reloading the Lee 160 gr .452 RNFP

Several years ago I purchased the Lee 2-cavity mold for their 160 grain .452 round nose flat point. The idea was to obtain a mild load for my Ruger Vaquero .45LC for cowboy action shooting. Well the load worked swell but cowboy action shooting never got off the ground here and died from lack of interest.
But the thought occured to me why not try loading for my .45 M&P, tricked out with an Apex Competition AEK.
Would that stubby little bullet cycle for me? What load should I start with? What about OAL?
Well I'm happy to report that my starting load (after much research) of 5.0 grains of Bullyeye did the trick. Shot like a dream with out a single misfire. And mild too! OAL set at 1.136.
Also note that recently I have been having a light firing pin strike issue with this gun. Come to find out it was the Winchester primers I was using. Switched to FEDERAL primers and haven't had a problem since.

I have the molds & it makes a great 45 minor load, but you might have to put a lighter recoil spring in it. I ran them @ 750fps for speed steel, like 9mm with bigger holes. They are so short though, I had issue getting them to seat straight.
