Missouri Bullets Hi-Tek 2
I just bought some of these for 38/357 use. Anybody know what velocities they are capable of? I plan to shoot some from my Henry with a 20 inch barrel, I was wondering if the velocity might get too high for the coating?

You have a good question and you should Google Missouri Bullets, tell them which of their bullets you have. Tell them the rifle you will use and ask about velocity limitations(if any).
Seriously; you'll get as many different answers here as the number of people who respond.

Check out Missouri Bullets FAQ page:
Missouri Bullet Company
"Generally, cast lead bullets at 18 BHN or higher will take 1400 fps from a 6" barrel, faster from rifle (30 fps per inch, approximately.) Coated bullets can probably be run faster. I don't guarantee it but I am told that this is the case."

I've run to 1500fps with decent accuracy & my own HT coated in a 45-70. That is lower pressure though.

I have not shot the 38/357 coated bullets but I have shot the coated 124gr 9mm bullets. I pushed them as hard as I could with a full charge of Longshot to over 1200 fps and not a hint of leading. I have a strong feeling they will do just fine in your carbine.
I know they make their 38/357 bullets in 12 BHN and 18 BHN but I don't know if that matters when they are coated. I'm guessing it does matter since they produce both. I would buy them in 18 BHN for your rifle.

I use Bayou Hi-Tek coating 38/357 158 gr SWC's, same profile and weight as Missouri's version. I shoot them in Ruger 4 5/8 inch Blackhawk. Use published reloading data - 6.0 grs Unique under this bullet in 357 Mag cases should get you 1,200 fps + in your lever action carbine.
You should not encounter any leading with these bullets at this velocity unless they are undersized.
I really like Hi-tek coated bullets - clean shooting!
