Had a good day yesterday.
Loading 9mm, 3gn Titegroup, 145gn lead round nose thru S&W SD9VE. At the range yesterday, 90% of speeds were between 890 and 910 fps. Had one flyer at 223 fps. Is that a good spread or should i expect the speeds to be closer? I weighed every charge and I am using mixed range brass. Accuracy was really better than i expected it would be with 2" groups at 30', supported. More questions to follow. Thanks

ES is fine. 233fps was a chrono mis-read (obviously).

If you can't tell that a load is inaccurate, and it functions fine, there's really not a lot more you can ask for unless your needs are super-specialized.

Load's a little on the warmish side (.2gr over the max in Lyman's 50th), but I know a lot of guys load up 147s and TG to 3.0 or 3.2.

Chacam- Looks like you're on the right track. Unless the numbers are really wild, don't worry about the deviation if your load is accurate. However, almost any load will shoot well at 10 yds. Test your load for accuracy benchrested at 25 yards, even if you're not going to regularly shoot at that distance. 25 yrd. shooting will quickly help you to weed out the lesser loads. Good luck-

Those numbers are in the ball park and a great start, I might add.
Now if you get a lot of errors and weird data, you might check your battery. They do get old and go out on you at the worst times.

Excellent! I think you are right where you should be velocity-wise with that bullet weight.

My digital scale is johnny-on-the-spot, but as soon as the batteries start to get weak it's hinky reading city.
