Four of my favorites! I've been shooting that combination of brass, powder, bullets, and caliber a lot lately. Good luck and enjoy!

Serious load for sure . I have been enjoying the 41 a very long time . I use a lot of IMR 4227 for my full power magnum loads . Little less velocity , more of a " shove " than a snap for recoil . Shoots very accurately . Have fun .

SWEET !

If you own a 41 the only way to realize it's full potential is to handload and cast bullets for the poor neglected caliber.
I got the model 58 ( my avatar) in 1976 and been reloading since 1967 , sets of Herters and Bonanza dies and a few Lyman Moulds have been a wonderful experience.
I never managed to get an adjustable sighted model, your's in nickel looks awesome , I Like It !

Casting your own bullets and reloading for the " mighty forty-one " is the best way to enjoy it . It's a pleasure to load from " mild to wild " . Elmer Keiths 3 loads were : His gallery load ( target) was using his bullet :220gr swc but any 210 will suffice was 4.5gr of Bullseye , Mid range : 7.5grs of Unique , his magnum load , well I won't post it as it's a bit too much but I will tell you that 17.5-18.0grs of 2400 will deliver all the magnum power you need . There you have it , " mild to wild " with 3 proven loads .

After getting my model 58, I wrote Guns & Ammo Magazine asking for a mid range load that might shoot close to the fixed sights with the Lyman 410459 220 gr. SWC bullet , My letter came back with " Try 7.5 to 8.0 grains Unique" and was signed Elmer Keith....it was good advice from the man himself !

Starline is the only handgun brass I use, I do not have a lot of handguns, but my 57, is one I will never sell. I use 18 grs of 2400, with a hard cast 215 gr SWC.

Default .41 Mag

Those XTP loads using H-110 are over max and are a pretty good hand fun. For target loads I'm using W-231 and Acme coated 215gr SWC.

That was back in mid 1960's , like 50 years ago....I did not throw it out, I'm a pack rat, I don't throw out much but keeping most everything has a drawback....
Finding it. I know I have it , it's in a box with some of those old G&A magazines I kept ( at least 8 plastic storage containers) ...I'm not sure which box it is in but I would never have trashed it. What I should do is find it and frame it. I'm going to start looking...who knows what I'm going to find in those plastic containers ! This could take a while !

My other problem is I'm a procrastinator....and that doesn't help a thing !

Isn't it terrible...misplacing all that stuff?? I have a couple of signed books that ol Elmer did. Where in the H did I put them? Don't know...but while lookin for something else I found my 2nd copy of the 1944 Gun Digest. I'll probably get it lost too. Heck with it..I'm gonna sell it. I do have a Remington 788 that Elmer wrote an article about. He was photographed with the rifle. After keeping them for years I finally threw out the old American Rifleman mags I had from 1919 to the end of the 30s...and I don't know why! Good luck finding that letter. Framing it sounds like a neat idea.
