Default 44 Special Chronograph Results Spreadsheet

44 Special:
I have gone thru my notebooks for the last few years and assembled the data I consider reliable into a spreadsheet.
Since the forum does not allow the direct posting of these I have converted it to a PDF.
OpenOffice's PDF converter is not perfect but it is legible.
I'll be updating this as I get more data.

Remember these are the results I got.
Yours will be somewhat different especially as I am mostly using 3 and 4 inch revolvers.

You will notice I try a lot of combinations hoping one will pop out as a keeper.
Luckily this has happened a few times.
All you guys loading CSB-1: All my results so far are in here.
It's a great powder in the 44 special.

One thing I have noticed is that the Ginex LP primer is pretty good.
Looks to be in between the CCI and the WLP in power and may have lower SD than either in general.
I got a 10K "block" back during the depths of the shortages from American Reloading.
They are also good looking and my default LP now.
Being Euro they are a tight fit in a few cases but have worked in all I have tried so far.

I use some fairly obscure components.
The "normal" combinations have been reported on since Elmer first whacked a typewriter up to Brian Pearce and his thoughtful columns in Handloader.
The amount of data available for the 44 special is kind of overwhelming which is why I have not attempted
to assemble a master reloading table as was done for the 444 Marlin.

Thanks Nemo. That’s great information. I miss CSB1. I’d happily trade every pound of my 231 for it. I was hoping that powder would gain popularity and go mainstream.
