Default 700 gr 500s

Not sure if this is normal for this forum but I just wanted to make everyone aware of a group buy for the well-known 700 grain mihec "grand canyon" mold. This hasn't been run in quite some time and once we have 20 takers it will be ready to go.

Despite the tremendously silly nature of a 700 gr bullet... they're a lot of fun to shoot!

The group buy is over on Castboolits, and the mold maker is miha from mp molds. If you cast bullets and do not own an mp mold, you are missing out. I have several 500 molds (and many in other calibers) from him but this one has been my grail for some time. Miha turn around have been super fast lately- once a group buy gets finalized he has been spitting out molds within a month in my experience.

Mihec 502-700 Mold

Thanks for reading and pile on in if it tickles your fancy.

Just a note on 500 recoil;

Saw a tv show the other day with the big 40 and 50 caliber pistols.

They were shooting the Desert Eagle and its weight was really helping
to tame down the recoil in those large rounds.

They called the 50 guys, "the Gravel pit gang".
Making gravel out of big rocks...............

Good luck.

Heh, I have a couple of desert eagles too and while they are a ton of fun, the 500 is even more!

Just an update. We are now at over 20 on the waiting list so this mold should be cut soon. If you are interested join in- I've been waiting years for this mold to be recut so you could be waiting even longer for the opportunity to come up again.

None other than mr. John Ross has joined us on the waiting list as well. If you've ever used any of his designs, I imagine you were as impressed as I was.
