I have no reason why you want a HP in the little 200 gr bullet
since they are usually used for light target work.

Midway has three 200 gr bullets but not the lead HP type.
The two lead FT bullets should print as well as a lead HP on targets
if that is what they will be used for.

+1 on those GT bullets.......... good stuff.

GT bullets has some great HP designs and I have found them to be very accurate in my 41.

However, they are hard cast, and I have not been able to get them to expand with loads under 1000fps, which is a pain in the butt because I want a 41 special that is in the 800-900fps range.

I loaded up some 44 mag 180gr XTPs and I love them. A fairly light load of powder will still deliver more force and likely wider expansion than a 357. Perfect for the two legged predators I'm concerned about.

Does Federal no longer load their 200 gr. LSWCHP ? Always gave good results in my .44s.

Default HPs?

A trick some of the old time reloaders used for a close quarters hollow point at low vel. Find a Hollow Base Wadcutter, usually in the lighter bullets, and seat it backwards! I tried it in pop-gun loads for a 38 and they expanded very well with low penetration!
