Default Looking for help find components

I am getting a Ruger Mini 30, as I reload for everything I shoot. I finding it difficult to find brass and bullets, several places I check have one but not the other.

Anyone that loads 7.62X39 and want to share there source of components source it would be appreciated.

I think StarLine now carries 7.62 x 39 brass.

Powder Valley should have powder that will work.
Rocky Mountain Reloading has one type of bullet for the round.
I thought they'd have more.

Must be harder our East.......

All the sporting good stores out here have brass, powder, primers and bullets, so I don't have to go online.

Good hunting.

...which is about the same price as loaded, steel case Russian ammo. This is one caliber I do not reload for.
A Ruger mini will throw the brass nearly as far as the projectile. Shoot the cheap stuff, and don't worry about hunting brass.

Some .311 bullets here.
303 Caliber/7.7 Japanese (.311-.312) - Rifle Bullets - Metallic Reloading - Graf & Sons

The very early Mini-30s had a .308 bore. The ID info is out there.

Brass...

7.62x39mm Caliber - Russian - Large Rifle - Brass Cases

Tain't cheap. Almost makes more sense to buy boxer primed ammo & save the brass... provided you're shooting someplace that the brass is recoverable. My Mini throws it into the next time zone. At the indoor range I shoot at I might get 5 out of 10 cases back.

Federal/American Eagle makes a good reloadable round! I bought dies and a 100 rounds years ago for my SKS. But, every time I go to a range about an hour away I find just short of a box or two. I just put them in a big coffee can for when I'll get around loading them! I've still got 2 canned hams of Russian Hollow points, so the need to reload hasn't arrived yet! But I'm at 350-400 good empty brass. Patience is a virtue!
