Default 9mm plated hp target/fps test

Finally got time to get out and do some shooting.
News people said warm and nice...........
I am glad I had two sand bags and a brick in the car to hold things down!
Set up the card table, chair and then the chrony and finally the target at 15 yards.
Today I used a sand bag rest, since things were moving around a little.

Did the Berry full loads at 1.075" and a full load of Alliant slow powder at 1.13"
with a light target loading at 1.10" with a starting load, earlier.

Now it was time to get down to see what this bullet would do
with a short OAL and all powders, be they compressed or what ever.
The Wilson JHP does 1075fps out of their 5" test pistol and this was
what I was hoping for.
Looks like I have a little fine tuning to do and I will see if a light
loading around a pf126 does any better than the pf133 loads.

I was happy with the test, except for those darn plated bullet flyers !!

Default Nice job.....

Looks like Green Dot is the winner. Plated is my least favorite bullet, if I'm outside even lube in groove is better for me.

However, I did get some Zero plated bullets for a special project and I found them to be excellent, as good as any premium jacketed I've shot.

Most of the time, I do with Hy-tek coated bullets. I'm not so good with pistols that I can tell a whole lot about the accuracy. A
heavy bullet with a light load is killer diller for me. I need to shoot more of those to get my confidence up.

PS: Yeah, the WIND has been atrocious around here several days a week, rain or shine.
