I guess I have just been lucky for the past several thousand rounds of coated or lubed 9mm, .40S&W, 45acp, and .357 all loaded with Titegroup. Again, not saying there is no possible way, only saying that there's obviously more to it than just Titegroup. And I will say this again, if somebody experiences a double charge (or even an over charge) it is because THEY did not follow the simple directions as presented in their loading manual. It is NOT caused by the powder. Blaming the powder for a mistake caused by the operator makes as much sense as blaming the bullets because you seated them upside down.

I've also loaded and shot several 10's of thousands of rounds with powder coated bullets but I've been coating them myself with cheap ol' Harbor Freight Red and some surplus Sinclair Purple I got for $2/# and I've also never had a leading problem with any of my bullets in any of my guns (9/38/357/40/45) using powders as fast as Titewad/e3/Clays and as slow as AA#9.

A few years ago I was using Precision Bullets out of Texas with W231 in my revolvers. When W231 became really hard to find I started using Titegroup. All of the sudden my revolvers started leading pretty bad. Went to the Precision Bullet web site and read the FAQ's and loading information. And they recommend Not using Titegroup with their bullets..

I don't use Titegroup. I'm not a fan of Titegroup because of that, plus other reasons.

I've been using SNS & Missouri coated bullets with Bullseye, HS-6, & Universal and haven't noticed any leading or problems.

As was earlier stated, there is obviously more to it than just the powder. Half of the guys using it (including me) have no issues with it and the other half does. If it were just the powder I would imagine we'd all be getting the same results. Otherwise there's really no way we could have members who have fired many thousands of rounds with no leading issues. It may be a perfect storm where other issues are at work and the TG is just enough to put it over the top. In any event I doubt I'll stop using it just because I was told not too. Especially since it works so well for me.
