Default 550

Neighbor passed and the widow ask if I knew anyone that would buy his reloading equipment. Basicly it is a Dillon 550, 3 toolheads, 1 is setup with lee 4 dies 223, 2 is lee 4 die .45 ACP. the shell plates will accommodate other calibers with The same case head. there is a Dillion electronic scale, RCBS bullet puller (hammer style), Lee powder measure with extra inserts to go from pistol to rifle charges. Plus all the extra stuff (primer flipper, lube pad, etc) I'm sure I missed something but does anyone have an Idea how much I should ask? I don't want to give it away but realize as much as I can for her.

The complete used 550 setups I have seen with one caliber conversion have all started at $450 or more. With the extras you are referring to, I wouldn't start any lower than $500.

Dillon now has a C model that goes for about $475. Used / old reloading equipment is not like an old gun... if you get more then $350 - $400 out of what you described, you would be lucky... Shipping will be pricy if you sell on-line.

The price Bohica793 stated is a good one. You won't have any problem selling the press at that amount. If I hadn't bought a new one in February, I would be "all over it"!!!!!

Post it on the classified section here and on the bulleye forum for 400 dollars and see what happens. Or stick it on ebay with photos and as much details as possible and it will sell for what it's worth. It most likely will sell for 20% less than what it would sell for new but on Ebay you never know.

If its in good shape, $500 is a steal for what you have. Press & scale alone is over that retail, & Dillon is pretty much always retail.

Should get $450-$500 out of the set up. Dillon is the gold standard. Top of the line. Superior product backing with customer support and they are NOT discounted or wholesale pricing. You will pay full price or very near to it if bought new.
