Default Gun show finds at Bozeman

I did do pretty well on the reloading stuff at the show this weekend in Bozeman Found a new in the box single cavity mold in the super rare 358 93 bullet a neat spire point GC mold for the 38-357. Been looking for one for about 3 years. Paid 15 bucks Bought 6 cans of 4350 powder for another 15 dollars 4 were IMR all the same lot number and 3 were unopened. The other two were H4350...same lot number one unopened the other half full. But 15 bucks?? My most expensive buy was a nice RCBS electric case trimmer. Mounter on a board with rubber feet added with a nice little woode cigar box screwed on to hold all the extra parts. Even had 2 RCBS 3 way case trimmers...one in 22 caliber and one in 24 cal. Don't think the 24 cal 3 way has ever been used. They cost 50 bucks each. Paid $75 for all. Runs great. I didn't get any S&Ws but did get a Rem 552 in fair cosmetic condition for $55. One of the fellows I went with bought a Model 10-7 I passed on in exc condition(really looked new) with a Navy marked shoulder holster. He paid 350 for it and promptly traded it for a little Browning 22 auto rifle(Belgian made too). The seller had 650 on the Browning. I think he gave the poor guy 50 bucks to boot. And he kept the holster. Had a trade offer of a 28-2 4 inch in the box for a M-25-? 45 Colt mountain gun...but since I have so many 357s I passed on it. Oh well.

Here in Montreal, you have to come in early at the show if you are to find good bargains. Most of the stuff is quite expensive.I even once saw a Lee single cavity mould going for $25 when you can get a double cav.new for $28.

Congrats for your bargains.Maybe I ought to move to Bozeman!

The fellow I got the mold(and Rem)from had quite a few molds which I passed on. One 2 cavity 454-190 On handles for 35 bucks. I've bought a lot of stuff from him in the past. He pulled out a box of primers to sell to me...my partner took 'em cause I really didn't need 'em. 7000 primers of all kinds for 50 bucks. He gave me 600 CCI 109 shotshell primers out of the box when we got back. They'll go bang

Not going to be long before the 243 has to be limbered up for serious stuff. Early Antelope is next month

It seems like reloading stuff at gun shows swings between feast and famine for me... mostly I’ll go to a show and see NOTHING for reloading (at least that’s an use and even reasonably priced) then unexpectedly a show will provide me a “target rich environment” and I’ve got to get what I can right then, ‘cause it probably won’t happen again soon!

I almost always find some kind of reloading deal at a show. I check the junk boxes many guys have on the tables and find littles that are overlooked by many. I do have to admit I am a reloading junkie. I bought a very rare press at a gun show for 15 dollars that I sold a week later for 800 to a collector just because I kinda took a flyer on it. I have all kinds of weird reloading items. I have also bought a few "dogs" from time to time. One of my better yard sale buys was a Mec grabber press (410) for 10 bucks. Looked unused and the fellow "made me take" two very large boxes of once fired old style AA 410 empties that I sold. There were more than 7500 empties. I got 20 cents each for the empties. Was on the way to leaving and the guy came out of the garage with an old ugly press he made me buy for 5 Dollars. It was an old seldom seen Hollywood Jr press. Every now and then!
