Default Precision Delta 124gr JHPs

My first shots with my new 2.0 9c 4" was with the PD bullet using Win 231. Accuracy was really good. The only other 9mm bullet I handload is the SNS 147gr NLG flat point using WSF. Need to load more before I test with the M&P. Anyone use either of these combos?

I have loaded the Speer 124 and plated JHP bullets with w231 and had good results.

The shape and Ogive of the bullets can be different and there can be a great
difference in the minimal and maximum OAL seating with these bullets
per their makers.
I found out the Gold Dot does not do well in my pistols with a short 1.08" OAL.
The plated JHP did not do well with a 1.13" OAL, except for one loading
that was a full load of Unique powder that did 1212fps.

I found out that the short OAL will get you higher fps with w231 but you
may also get good accuracy for light target loads with longer OAL's.
It just depends on the makeup of your pistols chamber and barrel's match.

Have fun.

I seat the PD to 1.09" which I've tested to different grain loads with 231/HP-38. It fits my short chamber CZs and is very accurate from the CZs my new M&Ps. Curious about Alliant Sport Pistol.

I found I had to load 124 XTP's quite a bit shorter for my M&P 2.0 than my G19. I could load the G19 out to 1.140 but had to go to 1.080 with the same bullet. Not sure if I just got a short chamber in mine or they are all like that?

I always check the local suppliers and have yet to find Sport Pistol anywhere.

I keep looking for Alliant SP also, since the data for it fits inside
my 9mm loads with Bullseye to Green Dot loadings and fps.

Lots of bullets, OAL and fps listed for the powder, so no problem there.

Sort of like waiting for the "New" BE-86 when it first came out..............
and waiting and waiting.

I've gone through a couple thousand of the Precision Delta 124 gr JHP's. Settled on 4.5gr 231. I have been playing with the 147 gr XTP and AA#5, but haven't settled on a favorite load yet.

I shoot them in my Ruger LC9, Beretta 92fs, and in CZ75. They shoot well in all these guns, but especially well in the Ruger..... I load them to an OAL of 1.10 because the CZ has a short throat, and that way, I can use them in all my 9's.

Yep. Seems to be the sweet spot for me.
