Default Vintage Gun 32-20/32 WCF Load recommendations

Picking up an older Colt Police Positive Special 6" bbl in 32-20 (know its not a Smith, but getting into the older revolvers, both Colts and Smiths). Currently casting 90 SWC, but expect to also cast 90-100 grn RN/SWC and 115 grn SWC. May also cast some WCs.
What loads are you using with like bullets? Nothing but a fun gun to kill paper with. Anything that is paper accurate and won't beat the old gun up, but will let me enjoy shooting it. Thanx
PS: I have a lot of the manuals, and Load Data subscription. Just looking for personal loads that you have found to work well.

You might look at a current Lyman cast bullet manual. I think all three cartridges are covered, including mild loads for each.

They are, but real issue is, mostly rifle data. I have all the Lyman books + subscribe to Load Data. A lot of other stuff on the net. But a bit challenging to find low end data that will shoot decent and not beat an old collector gun up.

I am using 3.2 grains W231 with 100 grain SWC. Shoots fine for me.

Thanx all! Exactly what I am looking for! Red Dot keeps popping up. May need to get me a pound. Used to keep it for shotgun loads, but go much lighter on them now and not RD. See Titegroup in a lot of new cast load data, just not tried it yet. Still a lot of BE/Unique and have to get more HP-38 as I am low a LOT of my stuff likes it!

3.5 to 4.0 grains of Unique under a 115 grain flat nose bullet works well in my .32-20s.

ALWAYS cross check any load data that you obtain from the Internet in a reloading manual!!!

The Colt PP Special is probably the lightest frame gun built in .32-20, so you are wise to keep your loads on the light side, both for safety and comfort in shooting.

Thumbs up 32/20

This ole gal handles 4.0 231 just fine. My Ruger in 32/20 shoots the same load. Been working just fine for me.

Trailboss works wonderfully and fills the case so there is no chance of a double load. I think about 2.5 grains but check the Hodgens website for handgun loads.

During the 2013 powder shortage Bullseye was not to be found but three pounds of Red Dot were on the dealers shelf so I bought 2 and gave it a good try in cast bullet handgun loads , good powder in that application , have bought more and like it.

I used Red Dot to load up some 38sp cast WCs one time. Loads
shot very well. I never loaded them again because they were the
dirtiest load I ever came up with. I think it came out of a Lymam manual. I used Unique before Tite-Group. I still use 6.0g Unique
& 100gr FN cast for my 32/20 levers. *** This is not to be used in revolvers**** strictly a rifle load.

I use 3.2 grains of HP38, under a 100 grain lead round nose, I am currently working up a load for Red Dot. Since there is no data for Red Dot, I will most likely start around 2.5 grains and work up.... These are mild loads for my S&W hand ejector revolver circa 1920...I take it easy on these old timers....

I have always used 3.0 Bullseye and a 100 grain lead .312 Cowboy bullet. Fairly mild, but that's how I roll them in about every caliber.
