Default BE charge for 124gr FMJ

Hey folks,
Fun times !
Anyway, might have a class coming up. Needed to run up a few hundred rounds of 9mm .
Settled on running 124 gr fmj in my DW PM9.
Should be a nice load to shoot for a couple of days.
I'm prepping for a move out of state so my data books are in boxes somewhere.
I've been poking around the net for BE data because I have tons of that and its a known quantity. I have been loading with PP, but here goes with the BE in 9mm for me.
What I've come up with is that Alliant lists 4.4 gr as max for the 124 gr JHP , they don't list data for a 124 gr FMJ.
So poking around I seem to see folks favoring a 4.3gr charge of BE for that projectile.
What do y'all say ? My OAL is 1.14 so I'm maximal in that department.
Seen folks running it hotter. but I'm shooting indoors , don't mind a mild round as its just training ammo.
What charges of BE have you used with your 124gr FMJ ?

5.0 grains of Bullseye should give you a MV in the mid-1100s. 4.5 grains will get you in the mid-1000s.

My IDPA load is 4.0 BE, Xtreme 124 plated, 1.10 COL, mixed brass. Averages 1020 fps from a 5 inch M&P CORE. It's more accurate than I am.

Some instructors do NOT permit reloads for their classes. I assume you have checked that.

We're all experienced loaders.
We can follow through.
I won't be the only one.

When I used Bullseye powder with a 124gr FMJ "Ball type" bullet in my 9mm pistols......

I found that a short OAL bullet seating gave the faster burning powder a higher fps than the longer 1.165" OAL.

Bullseye with my 124gr bullet with BE started at 993fps and had a average of 1155fps for my full load.

However the short 1.09" OAL while being fast, was also the worse in accuracy. This style bullet in my pistol did much better with a OAL of 1.14" for general target work.

Good loading.

I have had good results with this gun and that 1.14 OAL. Had been shooting Power Pistol at that OAL and it was doing well. Wanted to change up to BE because I have around 10 lbs sitting around.
Had mainly been using for 38sp. Thats a lot of wadcutters.
