Sorry I can't help you out.......
ALL my 158 gr Jacket bullet loads are at or near MAXIMUM for hunting loads.
My target and plinking loads are with lighter bullets that have LESS recoil and are a lot more fun to shoot at lower target speeds with three to five boxes of ammo.
However I have loaded 158 gr lead bullets in my .357 cases down to 788fps
with Trail Boss powder, for a super lite load.

158 grain Jacketed over 14.5 grains of 2400 and CCI 500 primer. Roll crimp.
Wonderful load. Accurate in my N-frames and Blackhawk.
Not a lot of mild jacketed loads for 158 grain out there.

6gr BE, 5.5gr TG ... in my Lever action are very mild with 158 Plated or coated.
Today’s boredom project was finishing a box of 110gr H XTP. Since I have 8lbs of BE it was 8.3 gr.
All these project and ladder test loads just waiting for ranges to reopen.

I would load 7.0 grs of Unique . That was my favorite everyday load in a 357 using a 158 gr cast / plated /jacketed bullet for yrs . 7.5 would give a bit more power , but would really depend on the level of accuracy . It will make a nice range load -- walking in the woods load . Yet comfortable to shoot while retaining excellent mid range performance . Regards Paul

I like 6.5 grs Unique but with a cast bullet (158 gr swc cast). Approx 1,125 FPS in 6 inch. 7.0 grs Unique with 158 gr JHP in 357 Magnum should get you near the cast velocity or 1,100 FPS. Good working load with the power of a 38-44 in a 357 Magnum case.

I was out in the grudge trying to clean up enough to park a car in there...Not yet...but I found 10 boxes of 357s loaded with 125 gr Winch In front of 9 gr of Herco.. Been sitting around for a bunch of years. Got to go check the load tables. All my 158 gr bullets are LSWCs

Jmo shootng jacketed bullets in midrange loads is just expensive. I dont shoot any jacketed bulleys in my revolvers, any caliber. Lead or now coated lead, especially for practice ammo is the way to go. In 357mag for midrange loads, 158gr swc over 7gr of Unique or WSF is good all day.

my competition load is a 147 gr. round nose blue bullet with 3.3 gr Titegroup. Those 3.3 shall be good to go with the 158 jacketed. A light load. Hopefully as crazy accurate as mine.

357 Load
I really like a 158gr LSWC with 5.0grains of W231. I save my 158 jacketed
bullets for hotter loads. The 5.0 load is a little over 38+P upper levels.

I load both a 158 FMJ and a 158 JHP but since these get used in my auto loaders as well as revolver and lever actions, they are FULL Power loads
i run 16.7 grains of H110 with either projectile

Under a 158 JHP, I've found 7.5 gr of Unique to be accurate and pleasant to shoot outta either a revolver or a carbine.

I've found that 5.0gr of Universal with a 158gr coated lead makes a great shooting load for .38 or .357. I load these with Magnum primers. Its really a +P .38 load, and IIRC it runs about 1000fps out of a 6" barrel. Shoots very accurate in most all of my revolvers and is easy on the hands recoil wise. Got away from Unique since it doesn't meter well in my Dillon 650 and have fell in love with Universal.
