When you start shoving a Big 147 gr bullet into the little 9mm case................
one needs to understand where the base of the bullet is located, in the tapered case design.
Lots of data out there and most companies take into account the case volume and the type of powders used but you still need to be careful when getting into full loads and deep seating these bullets.
A Bullet's base and Ogive have a lot to do with the OAL that can be used for safe loads with certain powders.
I have used both the Speer and Berry 147 gr bullets but with their different style, it is night & Day on what powders will work and the fps and pressers that you will receive.
I am lucky to have a chrony, to try to keep on the safe side, when loading this weight bullet.
Use the manuals data and stay safe.
These bullets can offer very good accuracy with the right powders.
these are just "My spec's" not the manuals.
