Default Bullet manufacturer suggestions?

I had been planning on purchasing some Precision Delta bullets for my 9mm, but every time I was ready to place an order, life got in the way. Precision Delta has been out of stock for most of their 9mm bullets for more than 4 weeks, they are now completely out. They don't anticipate having any stock for sale for 5-6 weeks. It's hard to find any of the name brand 9mm bullets in stock anywhere.

Can anyone recommend a (regional) small operation that makes and sells quality 9mm JHP bullets in bulk?

As always, thanks in advance for your help!

I’m guessing all bullet manufacturers are in the same boat. I visited Rocky Mountain Reloading’s website earlier today and got a similar notice. Missouri Bullet Company has a similar notice on there website. Over the last week or 2 orders have really picked up and this is on top of record orders for the weeks before hand.

Put your orders in now otherwise your out of luck for months...

I just checked X-Treme BULLETS and they have their 9mm plated bullets in stock. 115 gr RN/FMJ @ $42/500 & 124 gr RN/FMJ @ $44/500. Others available also. I've used their bullets for years and they work fine for me (general range ammo/use). They have 147 gr HP @ $52/500, but these are not for self defense.

Just checked Everglades Ammo - Home and they have 115 gr JHP Version 2 bullets available @ $65/500 with Free Shipping. I wouldn't wait too long, everything else is Out Of Stock!

Do they have to be JHP bullets? Why buy brand name expensive bullets for 9mm??

I use and have Precision Delta bullets they are great bullets but for just range blasting, Coated lead bullets cost a lot less and are more available

I like the offerings from Precision Delta. I have nothing against cast or coated bullets. I am looking to duplicate my carry ammo, so I can get some practice in.

Honestly, I have a problem with purchasing cast bullets when I have the means to make my own cast bullets. If Precision Delta accepted advance orders, I would place one.

Try Roze Distribution, if they don't have what you want right now stay at it . They usually keep up with demands. Good luck in your search.

Hollow points are legal to possess in one's home and at the range. Any other possession, such as adorning a key ring or possession during the commission of a felony (much like wearing body armor during the commission of a crime) upgrades the crime to a felony.

At the moment, I don't know what weight bullet I am looking for. I am just getting acquainted with the 9mm, and have acquired a few 9s recently. I have some 115gr Silvertips, some 115gr Critical Defense, and some vintage 147gr Black Talons, but would like to experiment with more available rounds in the various weights and reserve the vintage ammo for serious endeavors.

Since each of the four 9s may demonstrate various preferences, I don't want to select one bullet weight at random and expect it to have comparable performance in all the pistols. Unlike my 45s which live on SWCs, FMJs, and soon TCs, I don't want the majority of my 9mm ammo to be FMJs.

Duplicatng a carry load is about poi & recoil. There is 100% zero advantage shooting expensive bullets at paper. If you run a 124gr hst, just get 124gr coated & load them to 1175fps. Go shoot. Try DG Bullets, Bayou, summers for coated lead. If you are setup to cast, no brainer. Start casting & coating. Free bullets whenever you want.

Try Jake over at RMR Bullets, they're ALL I use for Copper Plated anymore. He has JHP & FMJ bullets also. Always the cheapest, and their accuracy at target velocity is unrivaled. I only shoot lead in 45acp & 38spl, Missouri Bullet pretty much rules the roost for mfgd Lead bullets.

There is no need to shoot/practice with the high priced bullets

I did a quick search and found some 115 gr bullets on Midway

Look at SNS Casting, they make a very good poly coated cast bullet.

I’ve been having good results with Brazos Bullets Coated Lead. Great pricing, always been in stock and fast shipping. I’ve used a good many of the 115gr round nose and 147gr flat point in 9mm. Really like their 148gr WC for 38 target loads
