Just loaded up some JHP 140gr Sierra 357 Magnums: this is a very versatile & economic powder, IMHO. Western (Accurate) has published load data for many of the pistol calibers. Interestingly it works well with the LEE dippers as far as consistent weights are concerned.
Cheers!

Yes , I have used it numerous times . It's a very fine grain powder . Works well in 38 special , 44 special , 45 Colt and 45 acp . They claim it works well with cast bullets . I have used it the most in 45 Colt loads . Regards Paul

I've used in in my medium loads up to near book max in several cartridges. Lots of heavy 357 Magnum and 44 Magnum loads...

I've used lots of it for light loads in .454 Casull with cast bullets. At the opposite end of the spectrum, I also use it in .38 S&W with loads from the Lyman manual. To say that it's fine grained is an understatement; it pours and meters more like a fluid. Give it a try if you've never used it before.

Tried 2.5 grains of True Blue with a .360 200 grain cast bullet in a Webley Mk IV and a Enfield No. 2 today. Good accuracy and no residue left in the bores or chambers.

Apologies for digging up an old thread but I have a range friend that wants to trade me 4-lbs of True Blue for 2-Lbs of W231.
I've never loaded True Blue and based on your comments looks good to me and I have quite a bit of 231 and 244 so seems like a good deal.
Any comments are appreciated...thanks and Merry Christmas!
Forgot to mention; mainly for .38 SP..9mm..45acp.

Yes, based on all the comments seemed to be a pretty deal for me. He's got near 30-lbs of True and I have near the same on the 231 and 244 so didn't hurt his inventory that bad. I did try to negotiate a deal for some of the Unique he has but no deal.

True Blue is very versatile. So far, it hasn't been the most accurate powder in any cartridge Zi reload, but it is quite often very close. For me, it is my new Unique

IIRC Ed, Blue Dot is similar to AA#7.

Wish I could find some TB around here! I use it for 9mm and 380. It is very accurate and meters extremely precisely. I think you will like it.

On Western Powder's Burn Rate Chart , they have listed , from faster to slower:
A No.2 - Red Dot - TiteGroup
Green Dot
True Blue
A No. 5
Universal
Unique
Power Pistol
In real life I've found A No.5 to be a little slower than Unique , not faster but if True Blue is in fact a little faster or near the same burn rate as Unique ...then True Blue may be a better stand-in for Unique than A No. 5 .
I was looking for something to use in place of Unique and tried A No.5 but it's OK for 357 Magnum but a touch slow for 38 Special ... not bad mind you ...and No.5 will do but perhaps True Blue would be better .
I do love how the Accurate powders measure , I dip a lot with powder scoops , and if Ramshot True Blue flows like A-N0. 2 or A No. 5 ...I'm going to really like it .
Thanks for posting ... TB wasn't on my radar ...now it is !
Merry Christmas Everyone !

From what I've read TB meters well. I'll be making the trade next week and run it through the Redding and see how it performs at the range.
Wish I was in Texas where I can legally shoot on my property but still stuck in Ca. using the shoulder to shoulder ranges. Sorry I digressed.
Merry Christmas to all!

The name is a bit deceptive, but I've never read anywhere that it was to replace or even to be close to the burning rate of Blue Dot.

I've used it quite a bit for 9mm, 38 and 357. Meters like a dream and accuracy is good, my go to for 9 and 38. Make the trade.

I get True Blue confused with IMR Blue.
