Where I live I can burn all or most of my own trash.
If I had to use a trash service I would simply get a can of spray paint that will bond with plastics and spray over the label.

I throw them in my anti-gun neighbor’s trash can, along with my kids’ diapers and dog poop picked up from the yard.

Rinse them out
If you are worried about any problems, just rinse the containers out with water and chuck them into the recycle bin,
I threw an empty in a fire one time , it does have a muffled expolsion

I would use the plastic jar type for storage but they aren’t transparent.
I have family save Peanut Butter jars for me. Got all my nails, screws and such in them. These in turn stored in the plastic cases for gallons of milk.
Space saver, you can see what you’ve got and don’t have paper boxes or plastic bags busting and spilling.

Wrap them up in tin foil before throwing out.

Many of you need to realize the poster resides in a ridiculously anti gun, anti personal freedom State.I know guys who hunt in NJ and have to HIDE that fact for fear of vandalism to their vehicles when parked, etc.
Its a crazy place.

Tannerite
If you don't want to use your entire 1 lb of tannerite, you can break it down into 3 or 4 oz on top of sawdust in clean-rinsed with water and dried old powder containers to make pretty clouds of sawdust.

Seriously...a how-to thread for surreptitious trash disposal?
I put the empty jugs in my neighbor's bin for all to see. She's a 78 year old widow and nobody messes with her cuz they think she's a gun gal.

Suddenly, I am wanting to clean them out, and fill them with wax and a wick. Christmas candles!

I know you are kidding because that would cost you about $15.
