Default Zero 125 GR FPFMJ Q?

I see that Roze still has some 9mm 125 gr .355 FPFMJ's in stock. However, their description says "This bullet was specifically designed to be loaded in a 357 Sig case". Has anyone tried them in a 9mm Luger? Anyone know of any problems with these in a 9x19? I would much prefer HPFMJ's, but I'm getting a bit concerned about my remaining FMJ stock and may try a few. Comments welcomed. -S2

I think I would just take their word for it. I ordered from them (115 9m) recently and got my order in about two weeks.

I use Zero's Bullet almost exclusively. I have not made a bulk purchase of that particular bullet (#158) but I did have them send me a sample (~20) of them, which they'll do when you order something else.

I didn't save any load details on that small free sample test but I can tell you about the bullet:

- it's a full metal jacket, flat nose bullet with an exposed lead base.

- dia. was .3557", the same as their 125gr JHP (#161)

- the bullet's overal length is .544", a little shorter than #161 (.560")

- average weight was 125.7gr

I've found when loading Speer's 125gr TMJ (357 SIG) bullets, in a 9x19 case, that the bullet's flat nose required I use a slightly shorter COAL" to feed properly from the magazine.

If you're load doesn't require a max. COAL" then I don't see an issue with these for range use loads.

What they are saying is that was designed for the .357 Sig for those .357 Sig owners looking for a bullet that would work in their guns. 357 Sig has loading issues and was designed for FP and JHP only.
As long as the bullet is .355-.357" in diameter, it will work well for 9x19. Only concern would be finding the COL that lets the round feed and chamber.
Note: Cartridge Overall Length (COL)

I ordered 1K 125gr.FPFMJ's back in mid-September and received them today. Roz only charged my cc after they shipped them; a nice touch on their part. The 125gr.FPFMJ's are the only 9mm bullets that they have in stock as of today, and not a whole lot of them left.

I've loaded up a small sample, set COL at 0.010" shorter than my comparable 125gr.JHP's (FPFMJ's are 0.040" shorter than the JHP's). I should be able to try them out either tomorrow or Thursday, will report any significant differences and/or problems. -S2

Nice to see that you received more bullets at these times and also ease your worries of running out.

The 135 FN and 147 Speer TMJ both worked in my 9mm's....
I hope the Rose bullets work out for you.

Good luck.
