need a couple 38-40 cases/bullets
The last time i had a 38-40, it was a Colt SAA and when I sold it I gave away my 1/2 box of 38-40 ammo. Bought a 1894 marlin today in 38-40 and there is no ammo to be found. If one of you kind souls can spare a handful or two of empty cases and bullets, I'll take this one hunting this fall. I am at your mercy.

Last time I was in my local Bass Pro Shop, there were boxes of them on the shelf.

Charlie-- Was in Taylors show room the other day. They had some from Black Hills. I load my own but wouldnt suggest you take them. Could pick you up a couple boxes if you like. $40.00 and some a box. Just a thought.
OR- if you load yourself, I could send you brass and bullets for a couple boxes?? Just another thought. You have primers??

Thanks guys.
J. R. , I do reload, have primers and powder. if you can spare them and could send me a dozen empties and two dozen bullets, I'd be set. Just want to sight in the 94 and take it hunting this year. Maybe you could get some of that holster money back.
If I could help you out, I have some hard to find 300sav, 35 rem, and a few 348Win brass and bullets, or most handgun stuff ... 38, 357, 41, 44, 45.
This is the sum total of all handgun ammo in Cabella's Fort Mill.

Charlie, no problem-- just need your address. Will size and trim the new virgin brass and get this right our soon as I get your address. Best of luck.

If you can find .44-40, one pass through the resizing die will give you a .38-40 case. You might be able to use .40 S&W bullets, even though not quite the correct diameter - if you can find any.

Midway USA has 38-40 brass, 100 pieces for $29.69 or is that too many cases?
