Default Gun Show Virginia Beach

MODERATOR EDIT:
Leave politics out of this. We won’t be discussing the election or “What if...” scenarios.

Fair WARNING!

Went to a show in VB today. Was looking for reloading supplies, what little there was had stupid high prices. Not paying $60 a brick for large pistol primers. Is the shortage country wide or just here? Also looking for .22, but not a $80 a brick. Looks like 10 years ago all over again.

Mick

I was in a local shop in New England. All he had for SPP were 3 flats (100 each) for $40. When he saw my face, he said they were selling for $200/brick on GB. I passed.

The prices I see around here still are not crazy yet higher but not rip off . 40 cal 19.99 a box of 50 45 acp 22.99 alot of 22 ammo XTP 185 bullets like 21 a box per 100. 9 is real short supply . I did see some Hor 124 plus P in 9 for 18.99 a box I grabbed two , was all gone in two days . 223 /650 a case.

Mick, let me know if you are ever up this way, I can spare some .22 for you. Still haven’t fired your ‘old’ Model 19 but it is frequently admired and polished . SPP are unobtainium up here.

Just bought 25 bricks of TAC .22 at $45.00 a piece. At the prices they are asking for it at gun shows and gun shops that is a good deal.

Supply and demand. Right now, supply cannot keep up with demand, so prices for limited supplies rises. Basic economics.

We also had a gunshow on the western end of Virginia (Salem)

I bought a couple complete mil-spec AR15 triggers for $20 each,,
and,,
a box of 500 Sierra .308 210 grain HPBT's for $120,,

the ammo prices were crazy high,, I saw 500 round bricks of 22LR for $100,,

The guy who sold me the triggers told me the big complaint coming from the sellers was that they could not get ANYTHING to sell.

LOTS of buyers, and sellers stayed home
I would guess there was less than 50% of either there, yesterday.

Check yard sales in your area. A friend in Pa. found a box of 50 SWC's in .4 cal. 250 grain for $8.00. The guy had already sold the same amount of 38's and .45's for the same price before my friend got there.
