Default 45 Auto Rim

I got some Starline .45 Auto Rim just to try them out. I have nothing against moon clips, I use them a lot but wanted to give it a try. They work great in my 1917, but not in my 625. In the 625 I get at least one round per cylinder that gets under the ejector when I eject the empties. In the future I will save them for the 1917 and use moon clips in the 625.

I have a 625 JM and have some auto rim brass but have not tried it yet. I have been using moon clips. I guess I should load a batch and see how they do in my revolver.

I realize I'm in a minority, but after using Auto Rim brass for years, I'd have a hard time going back to the clips on a regular basis. It's convenient not to have to mess with the clips and accompanying tools.

I have a 625, the one with the multi color laminated grip. All I’ve ever used in it is star line auto rim. Works great.

Default Full circle clips

I’m sold on the full circle clips with 45 Auto brass. To me they are like speed loaders and 45 Auto brass is cheap. Often pick ups at the range.

I have had zero trouble with AR brass in my 625-8. Starline brass, 6.5 grains of Longshot, and 250 grain Speer LSWC is my 'go to' load for 800+ fps thump and superb accuracy, albeit I have to use a 6 o'clock hold out to 25 yards.

I have never had a problem with .45AR in any .45acp revolver. I almost always turn the gun muzzle up that may be the reason........

I hate moons. I’ve got about 1000 new Rem 45AR brass and just short of 500 mixed. I’m not sure but I think I remember buying 45AR in Govt boxes at surplus store in 60s.

Oh yeah!

.45 Auto Rim.

My favorite.

Of course I'm only shooting them in a '17 Colt and '17 Smith & Wesson so for fun range work or plinking they're best.

Smile .45 Auto Rim

When ejecting I hold the muzzle straight up and slap the ejector rod with the heel of my off hand-works for me
