Default I scored!

I stopped in my Class III LGS and found 500 reloadable M-1 Carbine brass. and got them for 10 cents each OTD.

In 1980, I had an agreement to buy 800 at 8 cents each but he "could never find them!" so finding a quantity at a good price was unprecedented! My wife's comment was, "Why so cheap?, "What's wrong with the cases?", " Are the gun store guys sick?"

Now to find FMJ 110 round nose (or Soft Hollow Point) bullets.
I keep WW296/H110 around for 410 anyway. I have 10 to 12 pounds! And already have a few thousand CCI SRMag Primers!

Last batch I loaded was about 3000 in 1982, I still have my carbide die! (and two other die sets!) I got the Dillon shell plate in 1986 and just could never find brass! As "The greatest Generation" and their sons (Boomers) pass away, this stuff will be inherited by the Xers and such, who have NO appreciation for non AR/AK weapons! That just means , More Joy for Me!

Ivan

If you want a cheaper priced bullet........

would the Speer or Hornady 100 gr "Plinker" work in your quest?

I have fun with it in my 30-06 rifle for shots out to 50 yards for family fun.

Enjoy that brass and finally getting to put some rounds down range.

I used those plinkers in my carbine. They worked really well out to about 75 yds...but the carbine isn't usually a "tack driver" anyway. But it is fun to shoot. I still have one ammo can full of military 30 carbine ammo . It isn't the most accurate either
