Default Longshot in RCBS Lil’ Dandy

Going on my third year using my Lil Dandy with no complaints. I just picked up a new milligram scale and decided to check one of my favorite settings on it. I use Rotor #7 a lot with Power Pistol. RCBS says that rotor will throw 5.0-g of PP. I calibrated my mg scale and tested six powder throws - sure enough R#7 averaged out at 4.95-ish grains over the six throws.

OK, to the point – has anyone seen RCBS data or table for this for Longshot? I know I can make up my own data by testing it (and weighing) with a couple of rotors, but having actual RCBS table data would be peace of mind especially since I’ll be using Longshot in .40SW loads. Thanks!

I looked at a couple little dandy charts I have, but all are older, and don't show Longshot powder. I really like mine, and still use it quite a bit. I did find the following on the internet, it may be helpful, but WEIGH YOUR CHARGES to verify.

Larry

A number of powders have come on the marked since the Little Dandy, one being Longshot.
Looking to load 45ACP with from 7.0 to 8.2 grains of Longshot per Hodgdon load data, I tested rotors #9 through #13, 10 throws, starting with a full hopper, into an RCBS Rangemaster scale. Rotor numbers and corresponding weights:

#9 - 6.8
#10 - 7.6
#11 - 8.0
#12 - 8.5
#13 - 9.4

Fishin’ - Thanks sir! I am anxious to use Longshot in .40 since I think it’ll fill the cases enough to help prevent setback. I finally have a jug coming this weekend. One of the non-crook’s on the local gun trader is swapping for a jug of PowerPistol. I used the term non-crook because so many of the locals are trying to gouge so badly for primers and powder.

Longshot does work quite well in high performance .40 S&W.

I had a Lil Dandy when I first started loading. I think my brother in law ended up with it. Loaded a lot of .45 ACP with Unique powder using one.
