Default Gritty .38 S&W

Today I was shooting a S&W Regulation Police in .38 S&W with a four-inch barrel. I was using some loads I made with a CCI small pistol primer, and a 158 gr LRN bullet over 2.8 grains of True Blue. The range was outdoors, and the wind was blowing back toward the benches. Immediately after several of the shots I felt a fine grit blow back. Was this unburned powder? I got this load for the Lyman manual and it shoots well, but I was wondering if this was normal or if I need to change it.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you try a little more crimp or a slightly faster powder. I use W231
