Default I got lucky ,,,,,,primers

A few weeks ago I found one Army can with 5,000 S&B large pistol primers. I knew I was missing another box of primers I ordered. Found it today winchester LP and SP plus SP magnum another 10 k in primers. I’m stoked I have tons of reloading to do. During the winter I can survive the covid too.

Ummm, that's not luck, its forgetfulness for things you already bought.

I was buying, stocking up on reloading supplies when prostate cancer hit me. So i guess forgetting about it was ok.

Been there too. A PC diagnosis is like getting kicked in the stomach. Your priorities suddenly change.

Hope you’re doing well and have had a successful treatment.

All my ammo thoughts went away last year when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Catching up now, but still behind the ammo eight ball. Got the cancer licked, though.

The big PC is definitely a punch in the gut (or somewhere lower)!
I'm at 2 years and 9 months - just had another clean PSA (below detection level on their most sensitive test)!

BTDT, got the T-shirt. It's said that most men will have prostate cancer at some point, but very few don't get past it.
The treatment wasn't fun by any stretch of the imagination, but I've been clean for 20 years in March. Best of luck to you Sir!

My psa numbers are very low it’s going on 13 years now, just getting back to reloading. Buying bullets and brass now. Not much powder around. Going to stock up for my son and teach him to reload.

The stats I'm familiar with are that 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with it. A lot never get diagnosed. The other stat is that 1 in 3 will have it if they live to age 75. The good news is that a lot more men die WITH it than die FROM it these days. It is usually slow growing so it takes years to be life threatening, and modern treatments make it even more survivable.

Happy for you. But, where I live, we call that CRS. (as in Can't Remember stuff.) I have it also. All I have to do is look at the many sets of dies I own and try to justify why I own 5 sets of one caliber.

Vitamin D3 has a big influence on your later years. Vitamin D3 is really a hormone which declines with age along with DHEA, melatonin, pregnenolone and progesterone.

I’m in my mid 30s and I still have to occasionally take inventory on my reloading supplies. If you asked me right now how many 44 cal bullets I have I could probably guess within 5000.

Congrats on beating it. I was diagnosed last March, had an open radical prostatectomy in August, still recovering. Will go back in March to have my PSA checked. Fingers crossed...
But on the bright side, I did score a brick of CCI-500 small pistol primers today for $23.99 plus tax! So, there’s that.

Reloading components are like hot dogs (10 per package) and buns (8 per package). I have a big bone pile of loaded and unloaded components. The worst is when two or three pieces of brass out of a batch of 50 go bad.

I've had the misfortune of knowing a few friends that have succumbed to PC, and several who have recovered. The frustrating thing today is that Medicare, in their omniscient, omnipotent position will not pay for normal PSA screening in a blood test. Doctors know how to code filings to get it reimbursed. The rationale is there is more harm done from false positives than leaving it alone. Mediscare hides behind the "first do no harm" oath to keep from paying for it.

I was diagnosed 15 years ago. I have been clean since the surgery. I am a Vietnam vet, so Agent Orange get the credit for causing it.

Dang! That's a deal! I keep checking with the LGS for SPPs. Last time they said they had some in on consignment, $219 a 1000. I just laughed. Maybe some sap will pay a 800% markup.
