Default CCI Large Rifle Magnum Primers in 460

I have a 460V and when reloading for it have always used CCI standard large rifle primers. I ran across some CCI 250 large rifle magnum primers the other day I had stashed away - sort of forgot about them. My question is I assume these would work fine for my 460? I searched on this forum and the comments all indicated these magnum primers would be fine in my 460.

Thanks

I've read large volume, slower burning powders (h110) loads actually suggests mag priming.

All I use is LR magnum primers in 460 loads...mostly because it was all I could find at the time. I don't have any CCI, though, only Federal and Winchester.

I've never had an issue with them and my load data always matches what it *should be.

I'd give them a try. But, with any component change, do another load work up. I read that in the early '70s and have practiced it safely since, new primer? drop the charge and start over (but I like reloading so any "new" load is fun)...

Load data for the 460's call for Large Magnum Rifle Primers, that's what I buy and what I use for the 460's. I prefer the CCI's because the larger boxes require less storage space.

Near last Christmas time I walked into our Walmart over to the sporting area out of curiosity. All shelves were empty other than shot and there was boxes scattered in a disorganized manner. I happened to ask the kid working , as a shot in the dark, if he had any primers, he pulled out a brick of CCI250's LRM from under the desk. I asked how much, he said $4.73 (1000). I said I'll take them. I quit looking at other Walmart's afterwards, realizing it was just luck
