Your logic certainly makes sense as far as any anticipated pressure concerns. The question of OAL centers more on if (and how well?) this particular bullet will actually feed in your pistol.
Since you have 0.040" to work with before even getting to just another 22 shooter's recommended 1.100", & another 0.020" to the Nosler data (1.120") he references, it would seem to me you have plenty of room in which to work.
When you get to the actual reloading, start with something near the mid-range powder listings (I was pleasantly surprised to see I commonly load 8 of the 10 powders Nosler includes!): if you have other similar 9mm ammo (hp or flat nose) loaded that cycles through your pistol you should have a good place to start.
Cheers!
P.S. 1st loading a few dummy rounds at various OALs from 1.060 to 1.100" and seeing how they function might answer the OAL question pretty quickly.
