Default Thumbs Up for Starline

Upfront, I have no connection to Starline and did not receive a discount for posting this. That said, prolly like most others here, I am very frustrated by the ridiculous prices for handgun ammo particularly .380. I am OK for 9mm and .40, but I did not have the foresight to stock up on .380.

Long story made short, I just placed two orders for 500 cases each. Starline has free shipping and the order has shipped with only five days on back order status, for a total of $87. Another place, whose name focuses on the letter X, also had .380 brass in stock and has shipped but it was over $105.

Understand that I am a dim bulb for paying these kinds of prices but, keep in mind that .380 is basically unobtainium around here and goes for close to a dollar a round when it can be found. I use Universal and can get almost 2000 rds out of a pound of it. Even with primers at 10 cents, I can load .380 with plated bullets for less than $20 a box. Now, if I could just find some .22 ...

I ordered some 44 mag brass at the beginning of January from them and just got the notice that it has shipped! In this climate it was quicker than expected. I wasn't planning to get more but figured I'd better get some while I can. I even have powder, primers and bullets to finish them out so life is good!

I am a real fan of Starline and their quality.
I just got a couple of 500's in 45 Colt and 41 mag. Under a month for delivery.

I now have 3 on order with them.

With Star Line just 30 miles up the road I've have dealt with them directly on a couple of occasions. Great bunch of folks that take pride in what they do.

Living in Alaska I'm always thrilled that Starline doesn't penalize us for living up here. Some suppliers make us pay extra for USPS flat rate which doesn't cost any more to go to Alaska than any other state. Oh, you live in Alaska. Let's tack on an extra ten.

Starline has all my business for brass.

Another thumbs up for Starline. Just received my 45-70 brass at normal price (250 pcs @ .49 ea) although I ordered it about 2 months ago. To my knowledge they haven't gone up as much as most. Quality product to boot.

Who would have thought that even 45-70 stuff would be gone? 45-70? Really? Times are tough. I suppose there wasn't that much 45-70 to start with being a low volume caliber.

A month or so ago I ordered some 12.7 x 42 that was on back order on a Monday, it was at the house on Friday. It does help that they are in a free county in a free state.

Hey, do you have a link to those ten cent primers?...Just Kidding. I know what youre saying, though.

Starline brass is awesome; I just wish I could find some in the calibers I want. This must be the first time in history that 10mm Magnum brass is more plentiful than old run of the mill garden variety 10mm brass. I was even considering buying some 10mm Magnum and trimming it to 10mm length. There is a guy on GB scalping it for around 60 cents a piece, but Im just not there yet.

I have been shooting Starline exclusively in several calibers for over 30 years. They make super high quality brass. Good people at the company. I have known 2 people that worked there. First rate bunch.

They make the very best, strongest 45 Auto Rim, 44-40, and 38-40 brass. I use nothing else in these calibers!

Starline has kept my 30 Luger, 32 Long, 7.62x25, 9mm Makarov, 357 Sig, 45 Auto Rim, and 45 Super handguns shooting over the years.

Prvi Partisan (Carried by Graf & Sons) has kept me loading and shooting 303 Savage, 8x56R Steyr, and 7.62x39 also.

Many thanks to these companies.

Short story.......Back when the 40 first came out I bought a 4006 and the seller sold me 1(one) box of cartridges(25) for it. Brass was unobtainium. 10 mm was plentiful. I bought 10mm. Cut them down and inside neck reamed with a ball cutter in my drill press......Made several hundred. They worked perfectly! Used them until 40 became standard and available.
