Let’s see your squib rods !
Hi folks,
As someone new to the hobby, I felt it best to be prepared for the time when you hear pew when you should have heard POW.
Inspired by a nicely done wood-topped rod that a member here made, I tried my hand at squib-roddery. Here are the results, I’d love to see yours.
Second one has markings at one-inch intervals.

This is what I have:
Squib Rod - stuck bullet removal - Deep River Customs, Inc
I have a piece of hardwood dowel with a 41 mag case as a head. I use it for .45. The store bought one is for the smaller calibers.

We just carry old sections of cleaning rods and a small mallet/hammer. Nothing fancy.

Mine is literally just an oak dowel from home depot.
Curious what the purpose of the inch markers are?

First dedicated squib rod I’ve ever seen or heard of. I pride myself in never needing one. If I do it’ll be a piece of dowel or cleaning rod. However, it looks cool. Perhaps you can find a secondary use for it.

I thought it might be of interest to know how much progress is being made while de-squibbing the squib. It also provides quantifiable data on exactly how [redacted] you are. 
This is one of those tools I hope to never use, but would almost certainly find necessary should it not be available.
Like an umbrella.

40 years shooting and reloading. No need for a squib rod. But the one in the picture sure is cool.

Mine is just a cheap easy construction. But because I'm a Range Officer at IPSC matches, I already know that it works and needs to be tough.

What is this “squib” you speak of? Never had a “squib” in over 50 years of handloading.
