Pleasant pandemic surprise!
I recently purchased a 16 in Rossi 92 357mag. In preparation for my first range trip. I thought I’d load some ammo for it I normally shoot mostly lead bullets and range pickup brass. So I was very surprised when I found 500 brand new case and 500 158gr jhp’s squirreled away under my loading bench. Have a couple pounds of h110 as well. This should keep me busy for awhile.

I have been finding components squirreled away from who knows when during this time as well. Each find has been a bright spot in this never ending morass of gloom.

I was going to say that's like finding a twenty dollar bill in an old coat pocket, but nowadays, your serendipity is more like finding some hundred dollar bills.

Sounds like future fun at the range! I have an old 20" Rossi 92SRC in 357 Mag (pre-safety) and it's a pure joy to shoot. No matter how hard you push the bullets, your shoulder won't take a beating. I can't say the same thing with a 44 Mag in a model 92 type rifle though. I have a Browning B-92 in 44 Mag and about 20-30 full bore rounds is about all you want at a range visit.

I'm supposed to have 100 cases that I can't find. One day I'll be cleaning up something and they will pop out.

I did some cleaning. Found a letter envelope in the back of the vault containing $550. Why and when?

My Rossi R92 44 Magnum weighs 5 pounds. I load my own reduced loads running about 1050 fps with 240 grain swc's. Ain't no way I'd shoot factory pedal to the firewall 44 Magnum loads in it. Never have and never will.

Noving some stuff around in my bedroom I found a couple ammo cans of .38SP, .45ACP and 10 1# bottles of H110 I had completely forgotten about.
Getting old means you get an occasional extra Christmas!

I just have to ask---who else keeps 10lbs of powder in the bedroom?

I guess i'm just anal.
First of all, years ago I bought a few steel lockers from a high school remodel. That's where I keep everything, under lock and key.
When I first was learning how to use a PC with L123 I inventoried everything. Also, I log in every time I shoot and/or reload. My data automatically updates my inventory, calculates my usage per year, and then lists how long it will be before I need to buy primers, powder or when I have to cast some more boolits.
It was an extension of my efforts to computerize the production line at the plant where I worked. The program was a lot of fun and it has helped me a lot.
My next shortfall will be SPPs in about 21 months. I may have to switch some of my target shooting over to 45s if the crisis isn't over by then.

16 in R92 is a heck of a fun rifle!
You is a lucky dawg finding that stuff- I found a box of .45's in my old station wagon and thought I hit the jack pot!

I bought one of those Brownings new when they came out. Wish I never got rid of it.
