Default What Happened To Roze Distribution (Zero)

Roze Distribution which is Zero Bullets shows no inventory at all and has been that way for months. Are they out of business ? Even during the last 12 months of shortages Precision Delta always had some type of reloading components in stock but not Roze . Once their in stock inventory hit zero that was it .

Don't know about Roze, but I see that Powder Valley has some Zero Bullets in stock.

If you go to the Roze Distribution web site there is a link to customer service. This link is now red, which usually indicates the link, or where it went to, is no longer available. It now seems to go nowhere! You can probably assume they are out-of-business. There is no phone number on the web site.

Or you could call Powder Valley and ask, they should have current information about their (former?) suppliers.

You could have found this out by yourself by simply "Googling" Roze Distribution.

Not sure if you noticed but most places are out of stock right now.

Zero is still in business, churning out bullets, but not able to keep up with demand, same as everyone else.

Just received my order for 9mm today. Took about six weeks. Didnít get the 38s, Iím guessing they are a lower priority. I always call in my orders.

Good to know.

Zero makes the only .431" diameter .44 jacketed bullet I know of for use in the many revolvers out there with larger than standard chamber throats.
Also useful in the microgroove rifles.

Very accurate in a 44 mag carbine equivalent I make for 444 Marlin plinking, fouling shots, and setting up the chronograph.
24 grains of 2400, then fill the case to within .25" of the top with granulated plastic shotgun buffer so as to form a compressed load.
I use 13.5 grains of Grex but I think that's out of print now.
The Ballistic Products stuff would work fine.
BPI Original Design Buffer (500cc)-ballisticproducts.com
I would not reduce this load further (1735 fps).

Another, stiffer but still reduced, 444 round I like is this bullet with 31 (1958 fps) to 35 (2164 fps) grains of IMR4227, no filler.
I would not hunt with these as the bullet may fall apart upon impact but it's a great way to cheaply introduce folks to the big Marlin and work up to full power gradually.
The 444S has a lousy design stock making full power recoil somewhat brutal for the uninitiated.

Full 444 power with a 240 jacketed is around 45 grains IMR4198 for 2300 fps.

Wrong. The best I recall it's always been red & I've used it previously.

I can click on it & it opens up in Outlook to start creating an email to them.

Wrong. Phone 800-204-1526, 256-739-1426 are clearly visible in the upper left corner.

Maybe you should double check before you post inaccurate information.

Many times in the past ( even before all the current events ) website would show none in stock . Learned a quick phone call to them would work wonders . 90% of the time they had what I wanted .

Just checked my invoice, I ordered on 4/14 so it took two months. My guess is they are just working on high demand items so if it took two months for 9mm my 38s may be a while. I learned a long time ago to ignore the website inventory info, just call and place the order. During normal times it would usually ship in 3 to 4 days. Worst part is I really wanted the 38s, I am okay on 9mm. But if I don't find any primers none of it really matters.

I would venture to guess that keeping up with the website would require hiring several people updating every day. Zero has always been a top notch outfit with great bullets and ammo and still is. Crazy demand right now!

Good to see they are still operating. I was issued 2 boxes per month of Zero .38 Spl. reloads when I was on the job. About the only reloads I would shoot that I hadn't loaded myself.

It took about 3 months for my 38 order. Great product! Got them last week.

I love their 44 SJSP projectiles, ran through a lot of them in 2020. I called them and placed a back order for 1000 more on 2-12-21. At the time, they stated it could be up to 6 months until I got them.

It's only been 4 months and nothing yet...

No, not always. I first started using Zero in the mid 1970s. Some batches had about 10-15% squibs. A buddy of mine had a Python and about half of a box of Zero .38 special wadcutters wouldn't chamber because they hadn't been sized properly. He took them back to the retailer and he and the clerk went through a couple of boxes, trying them in the chambers of the Python to find 50 that would actually chamber.

Now, having said that, my PD bought tons of Zero ammo for practice and from the 1990s on, there were no problems with Zero's quality control. But they sure had some growing pains early on!

OP,
Don't deny the reality of the past year in terms of severely hampered production coupled with ridiculous demand.
I know Zero is absolutely buried and attempting to fill back orders as quickly as they can.
This thread is not fair or productive.

I have to admit that my dealings with Zero only go back around 20 years.

All my Roze/Zero orders have been delivered with no issues. You will find many things out of stock on the website, and if you are waiting for inventory to appear either be lucky or fast.

CALL them - Kristy will probably answer the phone. Let her know what you need, and she will backorder the product for you. I have had to wait a few months for the highly in demand stuff, but most has been delivered in four to six weeks.

With so many companies when reloading component inventory is posted online, they get bought up in seconds by automated bots. Roze will take your order and deliver. You just have to get in line.

Good luck-

Good point.
I have noticed many times things show as available at gunbot but not on the dealer's website.
The whole idea of the convenience of net-buying has kind of backfired during periods of intense demand and employee stress.

I still can't help but wonder where all the primers are going.
It's not like it takes more than one to make a round of ammunition.
On the other hand being the smallest component they might be the easiest (but most dangerous) to stash and hoard.
I don't subscribe to any of the conspiracy theories that always pop up during the shortages.
But I'm getting ready to ....

Is today’s Zero/Roze the same outfit that sold Zero brand reloads back in the ‘80s and ‘90s? Back then the reloads were popular around here for LEO training as well as PPC events. A box or two of their reloads (or empty cases) still show up here fairly often.
