Default For You Viewing Pleasure

I know these are hard to get especially at reasonable prices. These pictures are from after the last shortage. While I was in no danger of running out I did make purchases after primers had flooded the market & the prices were normal or even reduced. Many of these have been shot & other added. Hang in there guys. This won't last for ever. Supply will meet demand I believe.

I too remember “the good old days”. Would like to see it back to some assemblance of normal. From a couple of years ago at my gun clubs pro shop.

The reloading supplies are probably worth more than your firearms.

You really don't want to know..................

I have one friend that has sixteen (16) safe's in his home...

and another with a old bomb shelter that holds supplies.

They make a little more $$$ at their jobs, than what I can scrounge up.

There are many OLD reloaders, and some BOLD reloaders, but relatively few OLD, BOLD reloaders... (Well, the ones that still have all their fingers and sight in both eyes?)

P.S. When I 1st saw the 2nd set of images I thought "What a well-stocked loading room SS336 has!"

P.P.S. I'll gladly take the AutoComp, the 800-X, the Universal and any primers (except shotgun & BP) on that Inventory Reduction table!

Love the inventory reduction signs. That's the time to buy.

For sure. I'm a man of few firearms. I worked till 2013 & never made over $13/Hr & at times much less so I couldn't afford "guns". I was never one to just accumulate them. I'm a shooter & tend to shoot the same stuff over & over. But I learned early on if I was to shoot a few times a week I needed to load & cast bullets so most my "shooting money" has gone to equipment, components & 22LR ammo. I've always been that way. I've never had to purchase during shortages but shot my way through them.

Now, yes my house is brick. Someone laid them in 1941. As for causing a shortage? The stuff was everywhere when these were purchased & most were purchased on sale & most purchased with funds from selling bullets I cast. I haven't purchased powder or primers in 4 or 5 years & won't till the market is flooded again.

As for my own reloading supplies, I've bought a couple of pounds of powder and 1000 SPPs at low "panic era" prices, but not silly crazy. At my age, I will probably be able to shoot with the supplies I have until I'm physically unable to shoot any more. I'd feel better if I had another couple of thousand shotgun primers though... that's what I probably have the lowest supply of, and of course we use those for wax bullet loads in Cowboy Fast Draw too.

Wow, I thought I had a fairly good supply. You on the other hand could open a store. There's nothing like being prepared.

How many primers are in those cases of CCI primers?

5000 in each case. They #34 primers for auto rifles. These are LR which were overstocked & placed on clearance for 16.00/1000. I purchase 5 cases & use them mainly to bulk shoot the 700 Remington in 30-06. They also do good in a side hammer rifle which I just sold. That's 400.00 worth of primers or about 3 trailer loads of fire wood at that time.

That picture is from a couple of years ago. The shelves now are not that well stocked to say the least.

Wrong . If you didn’t prepare then YOU have a shortage. I shoot 1200 to 1600 rounds a month so I’ve always kept a supply just like the OP’s for the last 30 years.

These guys aren't the ones causing the shortage. I doubt that someone who has that much stuff put away is at the LGS at 6am waiting to buy two boxes of primers at $20 each. I'm thinking that these guys aren't buying anything right now.
