Default Have a Hornady 11th Edition, I'm in need of some info.

I currently using Richard Lee's Modern Reloading Manual and I don't see WIN231 listed for 124gr Jacketed Hollow Point Bullet (page 183).

I've checked the Hodgdon/Winchester load data on-line....love there either.

Anyone have the Hornady Manual and be able to look at the load data for me? I'm not sure it's even in there.

I really need to buy more books......

See anything for HP38? If so, you should be able to use it since Hodgdon says both powders are identical.

Assuming you want 9mm Luger data.

Modern Reloading Second Edition data is as follows:

Remarks: start load; min OAL: 1.095

124 Jacketed Winchester, W-231 4.5 1060 FPS
Remarks: never exceed; min OAL: 1.095; 32,700 psi

in my 9mm pistols............

4.2 grs of w231 is my lowest accuracy target load that will start to group well,
with the 124 gr FMJ.

A max load FMJ in a 3.5" OAL 1.12", will do 1044fps and 1153fps in a 5".

You will need a slower powder, if you are looking for a +P load with that weight bullet.
