Default M49 target loads on paper at the range

Finally got one of the daughter in laws to go shooting with me today.
It has been a while and I wanted to see how I would do after a long
dry spell of no primers and no shooting and how the body is holding up.

I Had six 38 special loads I wanted to put on paper, so I could see
which loads were better and also get to know the recoil of these loads, again
since I have been doing a lot of 9mm and was a little rusty.

I also had 150, 9mm for Veronica to shoot in her S&W 9mm that is two years old.
50, 135 gr at 907fps and two 115 fmj/plated at around 1030fps with SR4756 & HS-6 powder,
just to see how they worked in here pistol, per ejection.

We both had a great time and she took lots of pictures and I even
got a video of her shooting, on her phone, so she can brag a little.

Here is a picture of my 38 special, snub nose J frame, target loads.
The nerves and twitches were mild today, so most look pretty good
for my 5-6 second, speed runs at ten feet.

It is fun to get back out again..........
I highlighted the top two targets, so you could see the bullet holes.

Proud for you.

You don’t seem to be too rusty, especially with the 158’s.

Great to spend quality time with the family.

If one shoots enough.............

you might pick up on the "Bouncing Ball" trick........

and learn the timing of the bouncing muzzle against your arms
muscle tension and learn that if if you squeeze the trigger at the right time......
you can manage a half way decient target group.

Good shooting.

Glad you had a good day with your daughter. I'm sure she had a great time. Your targets show one thing that I have learned from loading 38 special... Trail Boss is always at or near the top for accurate loads, at least in my pistols.
