I checked Missouri’s website and they seem to be in full production with reasonable prices. Anybody buy from them lately? Any better place to buy? They seem to have lower prices than some of the of others like Rim rock or Oregon Trail.

I've recently bought from them, in the last month, good bullets and shipped quickly. I also really like Acme bullets, I order them from Graf's and they come in really neat wooden boxes.

I've always been impressed with the quality, price, and customer service at Bayou Bullets. They don't have quite the selection as Missouri, but the quality is definitely better. Great folks to deal with.

I buy a fair bit from Matt's Bullets. He makes some interesting full wadcutters for large bore revolvers.

MBC also offers a Veteran discount.

My preference is T&B and I use Acme and some Chey as a backup.
I really like Bayous quality but not real keen on their business model.

Before I started casting my own it was usually SNS or Bayou. Not sure what you’re loading for but Blue bullets used to have some good prices and would offer discounts on bulk purchases also.

Try Brazos. You can buy bags of samples (5#bags) of what you shoot. Cheap shipping cost. Don't worry about "out of stock" they ship pretty quick

To directly answer your question, yes I have and do buy cast lead from Missouri and have 3 or 4 different caliber boxes in my reloading room right now. I cast most of my bullets for calibers I shoot a lot of, but buy bullets for calibers like 38 S&W, 32 S&W, and some non-S&W calibers.

I have tried several of their 38 Special WC and SWC to find them great shooting, but have not bought any hollow-base from them and do not know if they are available there. I no longer shoot HB bullets out of any revolver, even though I never load higher than 700 fps. I have dug several separated skirts out of my guns and have bulged one barrel so will never shoot them again.

I have absolutely no complaints with Missouri Bullets and have recommended them in the past. Perfectly sized, well lubricated, no mold marks, proper hardness, and great service so what more can one ask for? Best of all is the price for a box of 500 is lower than any other source I have used. As noted above, there are lots of other companies out there but if these posters have not tried Missouri bullets, they have nothing to compare their choices with. Through the years I have used many suppliers including Missouri and find them the best overall of those I have tried in the past.

I just want plain cast bullets and it seems that some companies are focusing more on coated bullets these days.

I think most companies are responding to customer demand on the coated bullets, they are very popular these days. I have used Missouri bullets for years and have absolutely no complaints with quality and service I have experienced. I have used 45 and 38 and 32 and I am using some coated 30-30 bullets to make low recoil loads for my grandsons. I ordered some 9mm bullets a few days ago and they shipped the day after I placed the order. Also Missouri bullet has managed to keep their products going out the door thru all the difficulties with the pandemic and the extraordinary demand for bullets in the last two years.

I used SNS for a long time. I switched to Brazos. I've shot many brands of cast lead bullets and they are all good. I generally buy on price. They are a commodity to me.

Note that Brazos sells by weight not count. They have different quantities in a bag but the price per bag is the same for every bullet. A $46.50 bag of 158gr SWC gets you 652. The same price bag of .45 230gr LRN gets you 450. So you have to do the math to compare prices.

Acme makes great bullets but they are a bit more moola compared to others. Some suppliers offer the plain lead bullets but they seem to be disappearing. You can always ask any of them if they can supply them. They all seem so setup around the HiTek coating I don't know if they even do the conventional lube anymore.

I’ve used Missouri and Bayou Bullets. They both offer excellent products.
Another one I tried was Badman. Theirs seem to have the nicest coating.

I am lucky to live in the town were Badman Bullets is located. So I save a lot on shipping. 😎
I have been using their bullets for a while and am very happy with their performance and price. Just started shooting coated bullets and like the easy cleanup very much.

The cheapest HiTek coated is Brazos bullets. I've used their 125gr 9mm, 180gr 40sw, and 240gr 44mag. Their stuff is all 12-13bhn. They are who I go to for my cheap range fodder.

I use Missouri Bullet Company HiTek coated for anything where I want a harder bullet as they offer 18bhn. Also they offer profiles that Brazos doesn't..

Those are my top two vendors.

I have a local caster, but he only wants to coat his bullets with moly and I don't like the stuff.

I usually buy cast bullets from Missouri by the 500 count box. Excellent bullets!

I use Montana bullets. They seem to have a wider selection of bullet diameter and hardness. The calibers I shoot most are .44mag/spec and .45 Colt (some .357/.38 as well). They are not the least expensive, but they are the best for my needs. Great people as well. Also, their bullets are packed in standing position.

RMR Bullets has some in stock.
Not as many as they used to have but some.

Here in Montana Summers Enterprises is a strong supplier of cast bullets for SASS.

I only have experience with Missouri Bullet Co as I have not bought from anyone else in the last 10 years. Of course, I just drive over and pick them up. I call first to see what they have available, and sometimes I have to wait for my order. They are very good at calling when my turn comes up. I was over there a few weeks ago, and it seems that demand is slowing and they have began to establish an inventory again.
I will add they are great folks, they have good employees and stand to be around for awhile. The sizing and weight seem very consistent in the bullets I have checked. I shoot mostly short distances, and have not tried them at over 50 yards.
During the high demand Covid era, the limited their products to the most popular bullets and used only black Hi Tek to expedite production. I think they make good bullets.

Summers Bullets have my vote. I've been buying from them for several years. The owner Donny has gone out of his way several times to help me out. The HiTek 240 gr (and uncoated) are very well made. I usually hit him up for 2000 at a time. With shipping averages out to 10 cents per.
