Bob Palermo - A Legend Has Passed - Please Read Post #14
It is with much sadness that I inform all that my longtime friend and business associate Bob Palermo passed away yesterday.
Bob had been suffering from medical issues for the last few years and in the last few months he had been in the hospital or rehab just abut as much as he had been home I believe.
Bob was was the founder and president of PennBullets and a veritable treasure chest of information on loading cast bullets in both handguns and rifles and his bullets were used by many top notch shooters in various disciplines from Camp Perry to Cowboy Action Shooting.
Bob was only 67 years old and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him, shooters and non-shooters alike.
Bob is survived by his dear wife Arty.
Obituary for Robert P. Palermo | Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home, Inc.

It's sad to lose anyone but especially when they are so young. Prayers for him and his wife. There is no good time to lose someone you love but it's compounded when it's around the holidays. I hope his wife has family and good friends around her so she might find some comfort.

I’m shocked and saddened to hear this, I bought some of his bullets about a decade ago and he was a gentleman with a vast knowledge of his craft.

I bought bullets from him several times, and I was impressed about how willing he was to interrupt what had to be a busy day for him to talk to me on the phone about what bullet was best for my needs at the time. Several years ago he alluded to the possibility of giving up his business for health problems, but he stuck it out to the benefit of his customers. He was a jewel in a sea of gravel, always patient and informative.
Why is it the good guys seem to leave too soon?
RIP Bob.

Sad to hear this. I`ve bought bullets from Bob in the past. He was always willing to take the time to talk about what the customer needed.
RIP Bob.

I have been buying bullets from Bob for close to 30 years. He was the only person I could find who would cast 9mm 115gr SWC and size them to boot. I currently have an order in for a few thousand 45's which I understand are still going to be delivered. I hope his family keeps the business running.
So sorry to hear of his passing at such a early age.

Very sad news, as I considered Bob more than the guy I bought bullets from. He helped me immensely when it came to questions about the big bores, and how to load for them. He was a fountain of information. God Bless his Family, he will be missed.

This is a warning to those who may still have business with Penn Bullets.
On November 13, 2021, I placed an order for a case of 45 acp bullets. On December 14, I was contacted via phone by John Mullady informing me of Bob's illness and stating that he was taking over for Bob and that my order would be ready to ship soon. Later, as we learned, Bob passed away. Since then, I contacted Mr. Mullady about my order. He said it was ready to ship, so I waited. When it failed to show up, I called again, only to find the phone is no longer in service. I have since left a message on the website as well as a message at the phone listed on the site but so far, no one has responded.
Today, I filed a complaint with the BBB. I don't expect it will do any good and am no doubt out the money. I dealt with Bob enough over the years to know he is probably rolling over in his grave, especially if I am not the only one who has been taken. If you have any outstanding orders with Penn Bullet, take this into consideration before agreeing to send any payments.

I too got caught up in a debacle with the death of a business owner.
Once attorneys get involved it's their show.
Good luck,

Looks like I might be another casualty. A couple hundred bucks changed hands in October and no product thus far. Also nobody answering the phones when I call.
