About all you will be able to find commercially is 146 gr RNL at about 750 fps. If you are a handloader that opens up plenty of other possibilities.

If you are looking for loaded ammo and lucky enough to find a box, it will most likely be 145 gr. lead round nose ... this seems to be the standard loading ... avoid any +P or custom hot loads with light bullets ...
your old British Webley Revolver probably will not appreciate it .

Or ... are you looking for bullets (projectiles) to reload ammo ?
If so , I have had good results with 148 gr. HBWC's ... the weight is about right and the hollow base will expand to fill the .360" bore nicely ... load them not flush with the case mouth bit sticking out to the same length as a factory round and at 700 - 800 fps velocity ... don't push them too fast or you will blow the soft hollow base skirt off.

My take on the OP's post is "v model Brit gun", which leads me to think we are talking about a Victory Model Smith & Wesson .38 S&W (lend-lease revolvers provided to several British Commonwealth nations.

If that is the case there is plenty of information available re: land and groove diameters, bullet sizes and weights, appropriate reloading data, etc. Hurry-up wartime production, so variations in dimensions might be expected, and slugging the bore and forcing cone could be useful before moving forward with ammo production.

I have done well with .357 diameter hollow base lead 148 grain wadcutter bullets and even cup base 158 grain bullets. It is still possible to purchase correct diameter (.361 more or less) bullets on the reloading market.

Lead bullets made for the .38 Special (.357-.358) will work fine in a BSR. The "correct" bullet diameter for the .38 S&W cartridge is .360-.361, and they are available from Missouri Bullet Company. Some like to use hollow-base full wadcutter lead bullets made for the .38 Special. But any .38 Special lead bullet will be OK. Personally, I use 125 grain .358 lead truncated cone bullets for loading .38 S&W. The important thing is to find a load that will shoot to your gun's point of aim.

Look up Matt's Bullets on internet search. This company casts and sells a 200 gr bullet specifically for the 38 S&W. Also many other bullets so the site is worth for any reloaders. I am not connected with the company in any way.

Yes, matter of fact I am fixing to order some from Matt's. My Victory Model shoots near to the bottom of the target at 15 yards with regular 158 grain SWC's.

I have a bag of 100 Magtech 146gr LRN for 38 S&W that you are welcome to have. Don’t know the diameter since the bag is sealed. Pm me your address and I’ll send them your way

I load for a British Enfield and my favorite load uses a 170gr cast bullet from an H&G #512 mold. (.361" diameter) Every so often I make some 38-200 ammo just to shoot the original.

Matt's bullets has the correct bullet for your S&W revolver in the more common 150gr bullet. Missouri a bullets sells a 146gr bullet for the .38S&W revolver which is the classic weight. (either in .360" or .361" diameter)
