Smile Winchester Auto comp for revolver loads?

Has anyone had any success using winchester autocomp powder for reloading with lead bullets?
I am interested in 44 spcl/44mag target loads.

Thanks in advance!

I think you can find some data on Hogdon’s web site as they now market Winchester powders. BP has provided data in loading the .44 mag in articles in Handloader magazine. Autocomp seems to be nearly identical to CFE in load data. Some think it is CFE without the cleaning ingredient.

Plenty of data for revolvers with AutoComp from Hodgdons: I have loaded almost all of the pistol and revolver calibers at one point in time or another with it and with no problems that I can recall... A very versatile powder IMHO.

Cheers!

Just yesterday I ran a hundred rounds through my 629 loaded with cast 180 gr. FP over 8.0 gr. Autocomp. A mild recoil, accuracy was decent and shot a lot cleaner than my .45 acp Autocomp loads.
