BULLET CASTING EQUIPMENT GIVEAWAY
Yes, I am giving away a complete bullet casting outfit, including lead. The lead is wheel weights, the old style with the metal clip.
But, there's a catch. I will not ship these items. They must be picked up. I'm in South Orange County, CA. If necessary, I will meet you part way if you're not too far away.
Equipment consists of everything you see in the photo.
You need to supply your own molds and sizing dies. I do have .451, .452 and .454 sizing dies if you want those.
The first one to pm me gets it.

Your kind offer would be a great help to a new guy looking to get into casting ... maybe you could even give him some advice .
What would be tragic ... is for a deceitful person to accept all the goods just so he can sell it all on ebay for a nice sum of money .
Talk to the prospective recipient and see if you can determine if his intentions are honest or if he's out to fleece you and make a quick buck .
In my later years I have learned that 5-10 minutes talking with a person will usually reveal their true nature , if they are sincere and honest and to be trusted . So look them over and talk to them before you bestow such a nice gift on them .
Crooks never cease to amaze me ... this morning news warns of the Fake Covid Testing Centers poping up around Baton Rouge LA. ...They charge a fee for testing and ask for your SSN and address and other personal ID questions . Why the cops don't bust them is beyond me !

I hope some one who can use it ends up with it, and not some one wanting to make a buck. I can think of a guy in my home town, that has always been a little under employed, and has financial struggles that could really benefit from your kind offer. Kansas is a long drive to go get it.
Bless you for your generous offer..

I don't know why ... but someone sent me a PM asking for the casting equiptment Irate45 is offering ... I'm not sure if they understand what's going on .
Irate45 ... be careful when you select who receives your kind offer ...the very first PM may not be the guy you want to gift ... Talk to him and see if intentions are honorable ...if that's even possible ...scammers are so slick now days .
Fake Covid testing sites !!! what's next , Fake Hospitals ?

Wish I was still living in Seal Beach. Well, maybe not, but if I was would be happy to partake of your generosity. Extremely nice offer on your part!

You know I did that about 15-20 years ago and boy! I wish I didn't do it. I used to cast my own gas checked 44 bullets, I've been out for a couple of years and wish I had my stuff back so I could cast up a bunch more.

PS, same thing happens if I sell a gun, I always have sellers remorse.

Howdy, I'm the lucky dude that lives nearby in the OC.
I do appreciate what irate45 is doing. I shall attempt to be worthy.
I have wanted to start casting for several years. This got me off the fence. I have several molds I've collected of bullets I knew I wanted to be able to produce; like the Bradshaw/Martin 198gr for the 357 Maximum. I've had to rely on friends for those "special" boolits. I owe folks for their kindness.
I have already started looking through my gear and intend to Pay it Forward as well. I know I've got stuff I acquired that I just don't see myself using now. Stay tuned for hopeful a trend to start.

Thanks, ddixie, for the plug. I do enjoy helping others.
This week I started teaching an 8 year old boy on a vintage Regal Moon and Stars resonator guitar. He did so well I sent him home with the Regal, a slide, a pick, and an electronic tuner. I've had a lending library of guitars for students for several years and have about 75 or so out right now. The agreement is that if you play it, you can keep it; otherwise bring it back and I will get it to someone else. If you get good, bring it back and you can trade up for something nicer. I've got a few folks on their 4th upgrade. Once locals heard what I was doing, I started getting guitars from everywhere. One of the Chargers kickers brought me 6 that needed a little work, and I got 4 nice ones out of the 6. I gave the girl scouts the other 2 guitar bodies and then saw a neighbor had filled it with dirt and had flowers growing out of it. It was a nice rush.
Good karma generates even more good karma.

I'd like to report that Irate45 is quite an interesting gentleman.
I was really interested to see who put up casting equipment with no charge. I enjoy getting to know folks who look out for others and who are not always reducing everything to dollars. I could have spent all day going from topic to topic with him. It was really fun meeting him.
Irate45 seems to be moving more toward his Archery interests these days. I think that's how I got the casting gear. He has really gotten me running at full speed into casting. It's great finding a new interest and a new friend for me at 73.

Things like this are what helps make this forum great. There are so many here who are willing to help out new relaxers and shooters. Information is freely shared and mistakes are prevented by sharing that info. The karma threads are amazing. I'm always amazed at the generosity exhibited by so many members here.
Thank you everyone and keep up the great work...
