Ruger LCRX 9mm
I own a Ruger LCRX 9mm with a 2” bbl. Even with 115 grain bullets, the little gun is a fierce kicker with all the powders that I’ve tried. To remedy this, I’ve gone to a 95 grain 380 bullet by RMR. Not a self-defense load to be sure, but great fun at the range, and accurate, too. For self-defense, I’ll stick with the 115 factory load by Hornady.

Yeah, that gun kicks a bit and doesn't squeeze much out of a 9mm to justify it. I traded mine up for a sp101 22lr. Then, I bought a Taurus 692. A L frame copy with a 357/38 cylinder and 9mm cylinder. Much nicer 9mm revolver and all steel to boot.
In case anybody doesn't know, you can flick the ejector rod back and forth a couple times to drop most of the brass. Steel case ammo really jams up cylinders in my experience.
Aren't you not supposed to use lower than 115 loads to prevent bullet creep?

My brother used to carry a Ruger LCRX 9mm. He handed it to me one day at the range to try out. Five shots was all I could take. The most uncomfortable pistol I've ever shot. Felt like the bone at the base of my thumb was being hit with a hammer. I can see why you changed things up.

I also got rid of mine! That recoil was way too much pain!

I looked at that pistol and other pretty egg shell colored grip eye catchers
but after shooting a 3" Kahr 9mm pistol...................
I never saw the need in pulling the trigger on any of those "Light weights".
Enjoy.

I feel the same way about the KAHR PM40: I call it the "Smallest with the Mostest"?
Cheers!

My default 9 is a Kahr pm9. Outshoots any J frame I own. Plus three more rounds with better sights, trigger and barrel, with a faster reload.
